Interesting piece on how women are changing the scientific world. This includes, healthcare, of course.

Indeed, flip through a scientific journal, policy paper or professional magazine, and it doesn't take long to find an article on the changing of the gender guard and the repercussions on salaries, staffing levels and job benefits when women seize the reins in medicine, law and the sciences. For now, on campuses at least, there's little evidence of strain or backlash. "
I think a more European approach to life might have some of the healthcare benefits that allow them to out live us...
